Voltage Optimisation Trials in and around Boston Spa.

Boston Spa is at the centre of an innovative trial to reduce voltage on the electricity network with the intention of reducing electricity bills for all customers. A local resident, Keith Jackson, has been working alongside Northern Powergrid and the new system 'Boston Spa Energy Efficiency Trial' (BEET) , which uses voltage readings which are sent every 30 minutes from Smart Meters, has been operating for the past few months. Northern Powergrid are conducting a customer survey and encourage residents to respond by answering a few questions. Here is a QR code which gives direct access to the survey.
