Footpaths

The definitive rights footpaths of Boston Spa are shown on the Ordnance Survey map 289 Leeds.
There are several public footpaths in Boston Spa and most are links to the Riverside Path on the south bank of the River Wharfe. This path stretches from Jackdaw Crag at the west end of the village to the parish boundary at the east end of the village. There are a number of access points:

From Deepdale Lane down to Jackdaw Crag
Through the West End estate
Down Holgate Lane next to St Mary’s Church
From the bridge to Thorp Arch
Down Spa Lane
Down Gas Works Lane

There are only two other paths in the parish:

Winnow Lane at the western end of the village and this connects with the new path next to the A1/M1 and thus links into a wider network of paths.
The path along Fir Green Beck at the east of the village which connects Low Mills Farm on the A659 with Bar Lane leading into Clifford.

The footpaths of Boston Spa do, however, give easy access to a number of interesting walks.

They include:
The Ebor Way eastwards along the river to Newton Kyme and Tadcaster and eventually to Helmsley
The Ebor Way westwards via Thorp Arch to Wetherby and eventually to Ilkley where it connects with the Dales Way >To Heygate Lane between Clifford and Bramham and onwards to Bramham Park
